A couple of days ago, Xiaomi released the stable Android 10 update for Redmi 7( Indian variant). Now, the European variant of Redmi 7 is getting the same update with December 2020 security patch. The device launched back in 2019 with Android 9 Pie. So, this is the first major upgrade from the OEM for Redmi 7.
The Android 10 update for Redmi 7 comes with build version V11.0.1.0.QFLEUXM in Europe. Notably, the update is currently in stable beta phase therefore rolling out to a limited number of users. Once no major bugs are confirmed, the company will plan a wider rollout.

You should receive a notification when the update hits your smartphone. Alternatively, check it manually by heading to Settings -> About phone -> System update. Steps to install the update (Manually)
- Download the Recovery ROM
- Go to Settings -> About phone -> System update
- Click on the menu button (3 dots) and select “Choose update package”
- Select the file you just downloaded and the device will start installing the update
- Reboot your phone. That’s it
