Nokia is sending a new software update to Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1 Plus, and Nokia 5.3. The update increases the monthly security patch level to December 2020, thus making the device more secure.
The update is rolling in multiple countries as an OTA that weighs up to 58MB depending on the region. Other than the December 2020 security patch, the update improves performance, stability and fixes some previously known bugs. Nokia 1 Plus users in Pakistan are getting this update with 58MB in size. Users of Nokia 5.3 in India, UK & Egypt are getting the update just about 1.7MB and Nokia 5.1 Plus in India with size 22MB. Nokia 3.1 gets the update with an update size of 58.54MB.
You can manually check the status of the latest update by navigating to Settings –> Advanced –> System Update –> Check for Update.
