Huawei has started sending December 2020 security patch update to Nova 7i. The security patch brings fixes for different levels of exploits and issues and enhances the security. It is a minor security patch update and does not bring any new features.
The latest update is rolling out to Huawei Nova 7i with build version 10.1.0.283 and package size of 165MB.
Huawei has completed EMUI 11 beta programs for its eligible devices in China. However, the global variants are still under beta testing. The Huawei Nova 7i is currently running EMUI 10.1 and the device is capable to run EMUI 11. But sadly, the device is not there in the EMUI 11 update list.
Back to the current update, it is rolling out as an OTA in batches. Hence, may take few days to reach your smartphone. Alternatively, you can check for the update using any of the methods mentioned below.
STEPS TO INSTALL THE UPDATE
Via Settings App
- Open Settings app
- Go to System & updates -> Software update
- Then, click on Check for updates
- Download and install the update.
Via Support App
- Open Support app
- Go to the Services tab
- Click Update
- Then, click on Check for updates
- Download and install the update.
