Huawei is sending a new update to Nova 4e that brings December 2020 security patch. With this update, Nova 4e becomes the company’s second smartphone to have December 2020 security patch. Notably, the update is currently rolling out to Chinese users of Huawei Nova 4e.
The December 2020 security update fixes 1 critical and 11 high level CVE’s. The update is rolling out with firmware version EMUI 10.0.0.166. It is based on EMUI 10 and the company has already confirmed that Nova 4e is not eligible for EMUI 10.1. However, the device is continuously receiving security patch updates.
