Back in early December, Xiaomi removed 4 devices from MIUI 12 eligible list which are Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi 7, and Redmi Y3. Surprisingly, the Redmi 7 is now receiving MIUI 12 update. Currently, the MIUI 12 update is hitting Chinese variants with build version V12.0.1.0.QFLCNXM.
The MIUI 12 update for Redmi 7 comes with a package size of 2.3GB. Currently, the update is in stable beta phase and therefore rolling out to a limited number of users. Once no major bugs are found, the company will surely plan a wider rollout. Other region users can expect the update to hit their smartphone in the next month.
Talking about the changes, MIUI 12 brings a lot of features to the devices like improved dark mode, Super wallpapers, New animations, New gestures, Health tracking, and Enhanced privacy. It will be interesting to see, whether or not, Xiaomi will release MIUI 12 update for the other three devices Redmi Y3, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6A.
