Redmi 9 Prime receiving MIUI 12 stable update in India

Redmi 9 Prime was launched back in August in India with Android 10 based MIUI 11 skin at the top. The company has now started sending the awaited MIUI 12 update to the Redmi 9 Prime. Along with the MIUI 12 skin, the update also brings December 2020 security patch.

The latest update for Redmi 9 Prime comes with firmware version V12.0.1.0.QJCINXM and cost 1.9GB of your internet data. MIUI 12 brings a lot of features to the devices like improved dark mode, Super wallpapers, New animations, New gestures, Health tracking, Enhanced privacy, and more

The MIUI 12 update is rolling out via OTA to Redmi 9 Prime users. So, it may take a few days to reach your smartphone. Alternatively, you can check the status manually by navigating to Settings -> About phone -> System update. We have also added download links of the recovery ROM, for manual installation, which we don’t prefer.
