Huawei recently updated Nova 5i Pro with January 2021 security patch update. Now, the non-pro model, Nova 5i joins the party with the latest update. The security patch fixes different levels of exploits and makes the device more secure than before. 

The January 2021 security update hits Nova 5i smartphones with software version 10.0.0.131. It is currently rolling in China and will expand to other regions very soon.

Via Settings App

• Open Settings app
• Go to System & updates -> Software update
• Then, click on Check for updates
• Download and install the update.

Via Support App

• Open Support app
• Go to the Services tab
• Click Update
• Then, click on Check for updates
• Download and install the update.
