Huawei Mate 40 Pro is receiving a new update based on EMUI 11. The update brings December 2020 security patch update. It also enhances the calling experience and optimizes UI elements on certain screens.
The December 2020 security patch fixes 1 critical and 11 high level CVE’s that makes the device more secure. Huawei is not considered among the best OEM for giving regular updates to its smartphones. While other OEMs are releasing February 2021 security patch to their flagships, Huawei is busy sending December 2020 security patch.
The update is hitting Mate 40 Pro devices with firmware version 11.0.0.162 and weighs just over 700MB in size. Currently, it is rolling out in Europe and will expand to other regions soon.
