Oppo Reno 2 was unveiled in August 2019 with Android 9 based ColorOS 6 on the top. Later, the device received one major upgrade in the form of Android 10 based ColorOS 7. The Reno 2 is also eligible to receive the company’s latest skin, ColorOS 11 based on Android 11.
Ahead of the ColorOS 11 update, Oppo Reno 2 is receiving a new update that bumps the Android security patch level to February 2021. With this update, Reno 2 becomes the company’s first phone to receive February 2021 security patch. Ahead of this, Samsung has rolled out the February 2021 security patch update to some of its latest flagships.
The OTA update is currently is rolling out to Reno 2 users with firmware version CPH1907EX_11_C.45 and weighs 283MB in size. Apart from the security patch, the update does not bring any new features or optimizations. If you’re a user of Oppo Reno 2, try checking the latest update manually by heading to Settings -> Software update and then click on Download and install.
